Racism and Homophobia are the exact same thing. When somebody insults me and they say I am fat, or ugly, or not funny, or stupid, or whatever; I can argue that. but when somebody says somethign about my race, I can feel it,because that's who I am. When somebody attacks your sexuality, that hurts. that's you, you cna't change that. Sexuality and race are the escentail parts of ourselves that we cannot remove or destroy. They are the you of you and the me of me. I was fortunet enough to grow up after ACTUP "Silence=death" (if we don't talk about AIDS, we will die of AIDS.
I adopt a similar slogan, "Silence=non existance" If I don't "go there" it's like I was never there in the first place. I noticed this most after the September 11th attacks, when no gays/lesbians and no women and hardly anyone of color was invited to speak their opinions of what was going on. And the ones of another race that were invited were all Arab or fromt he middle east and they were talking about how they were being mistreated becaseu they were the same skin color as the terrorists. (that's dumnb. It's like punishing me because of the unibomber). And yes i am very conserned about the troups, but I am also conerned that people are getting arrested by the INS and FBI for having the wrong last name. I am hurt all over that there is a war and there are people starving in other countries (and people starving in this country becasue of what they see in magazines.)
But I am also hurt becasue somebody just got called a fag, a dyke, pansy, bull-dyke, sissy, or chink, or nigger, kyke, wetback, engine, jab, bitch, whore, cunt. Becasue that person is being attacked becasue of who they are. I think that if racial minorities, sexual minorities, feminiests (both male and female), if we all got together, (hell, all liberals!) if we all got together and had this big voice, that would equal power, and power would equal change, and that change would equal revoltuion.

The power just went out, but Sheila stayed on. The monitor and all that went off, because I didn't put them on the battery back up, but my tower is just fine.

I Yahoo Answer searched for "Snoring boyfriend" and this was the first one that came up;

I really think I'm going to kill my boyfriend. I'm at my whits end. He snores like fat hippo..... or what I would imagine a fat hoppo to snore like.

I've had barely any sleep the last few nights, last night only managed about 4 and I am a person who needs my sleep. I'm meant to be up in hrs for work but I can't even get to sleep because of his stupid snoring. I am really beginning to resent him for it.

He has tried nasal strips... he snores with them on believe it or not. He used to stop when he rolled onto his side, only now I've nudged him to do this so many times he's adapted to snoring on his side. Wonderful.

What else can I do? I'M GOING TO KILL HIM! I am so, so tired! Anything else work for snoring? Ear plugs just hurt or fall out and I dont really want to sleep in another room... tho I may have to tonight.

I feel the same way!!!! Gonna kill him!

further explination

I am going to build upon what I wrote this morning, so early.
I had a dream about work. I was working alone in the morning at a Denise's store that was not where the normal one is, in fact,it was directly across the street from Jeni's. There was nobody coming in, so I decided to head across the street, where three employees were working; no customers either.
I ended up talking to them, telling them that I was from Denise's, and we had a nice conversation. then my phone rang and it was Denise going berserk (rightfully so) because I just left the store unattended for so long.
I hung up with her and then something very odd happened to the dream perspective/ viewpoint. It was a front on looking directly at my face, so that if someone were facing me, standing right in front of me, you could not see their face (really, only see the back of their head). At this point in my dream I became aware that I was wearing an orange shirt, and
that was when he kissed me. The one wearing the blue shirt.

acceptance and tolerance are fading

I am actually a pretty tolerant person, am even an accepting person. Tolerance means allowing something you disagree with to go on. Acceptance means agreeing with it enough to not feel ill of it. I disagree strongly with Lowe's Home Improvement stores putting Spanish text on signs with English subtitles. It is stating that Spanish is the main language of Lowe's. My ex, D****e, used to work at Lowe's; he has seen plenty of illegal immigrants (Way Up in OHIO!!). My sister-in-law's family has had many a debate over this, as they are natively from South America.

My sister in law's words:
"Both my mom and aunt are Spanish Interpreters for the City of Columbus. It is interesting, my aunt has said she spends many days out of the week at the Dept of Health and Human services interpreting Spanish for many Mexican women for welfare and food stamps. My aunt has said, she feels horrible, she tells me she tries to convince these ladies that to live here, there are free classes to learn English and ways to have a job. My aunt told me, they pass on to family members living in Mexico to come to certain cities, have a baby and then they will receive "free things". "

I crack the occasional joke about me being a terrible racist (really, I feel that people who white wash over racial differences need to step back from their soap boxes for a moment.) but I am really a very tolerant person, I don't commit hate crimes, I don't instigate conflict, I don't do anything... but I do judge in the privacy of my own home and personal life. i have to swim through paperwork to go to college, I have to file insurance forms so that I only have to pay 2/3 of the bill for my medical care (sometimes I think it isn't worth the paperwork.), I have to go through the trouble of paying for a stamp to put on my draft card.

I have a right to complain about people who are abusing this system, people who reap the benefits but don't pay the toll. And all this talk about, "Your ancestors were immigrants, too": They went through the right channels to get into this country. I like diversity... I am gay, I like celebrating for no reason (so bring on any cultural festival, anytime of the year, I am there.) but do it right; file your paperwork, get a job, get your citizenship.

Moral:Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist.
