The Numbers

The numbers don't lie, and when the polls come in it is safe to assume that somebody won't be happy with the results.
Moral: People only want a recount/review when they loose. But they might actually think they should have won. If you are this person, it is ok to ask for a review. If you are the winner, you should be confident enough to allow the review.

HDMI audio on the PC

Josh and I had this problem recently and he found the solution online. Here is the basics (I would post the link but you never know how long a webpage will be there.)
Basically you need to connect the SPDIF out from the motherboard or soundcard to the SPDIF in on the video card. The four images to the left show videocards with the SPDIF in in a red box.

The wire that you connect the pins with usually comes with the videocard, but if not, just use some spare wires that would lead to the LEDs on the front of the computer.

Now that you have connect the wires to the above mentioned connector on the videocard, you connect the other end to the SPDIF out on the motherboard or sound card. On the motherboard you need to find the manual or get it off line. It will tell you under the I/O (in/out) section of the manual. If you don't have an SPDIF out then you will need to buy an audio card, be sure it has an SPDIF out (2 pin) or is a high end Creative Labs card (look for the below connector, 10 pin).

on a soundcard, if it isn't labeled nor is it 2 pin, then try this. On Creative Labs cards it is a 5x2 pins connector with the last pin being the key pin. You want to connect in to the ones farthest from the key pin.
1 2 3 4 5
6 7 8 9 K

connect it to 1 and 2

Now power up your system and go into your sound control and find the checkbox to enable digital I/O and enable it.

If you don't do this, you will get no sound.
if there is no sound, flip one end of the connector wire so that the pairs of wires are reversed.

Death

Death comes to everyone, and it is not something to fear. People fear, not death, but having life taken from them. Many waste the life given to them, occupying themselves with things that do not matter. When the end comes, they say they did not have time enough to spend with loved ones, to fulfill dreams, to go on adventures they only talked about...
But why should you fear death if you are happy with the life you have led, if you can look back and say: "Yes, I am content. It is enough."

Pro-choice

Being Pro-choice doesn't mean that you have to always tell people to get abortions. You have a choice, and it can be choosing life.

pressure points for healing

Sheila Systems

Sheila systems is my computer network. when you install Windows, you are able to add the computer to a list of networks or you can put in your own network. I always enter "Sheila systems"because I know that people can't accidentally stumble onto it. When I host LAN parties, everyone plugs into the network or wirelessly logs onto the Sheila Systems network. If they so choose, we could have an open audio channel (like speaker phone) but that is pointless since we are always in the same room.

A woman meets a man in a bar.

They talk; they connect; they end up leaving together..

They get back to his place,

And as he shows her around his apartment.

She notices that one wall of his bedroom is
Completely filled with soft, sweet, cuddly teddy bears..

There are three shelves in the bedroom,

With hundreds and hundreds of cute,

Cuddly teddy bears carefully placed

In rows, covering the entire wall!

It was obvious that he had taken
Quite some time to lovingly arrange them

And she was immediately touched

By the amount of thought he had
Put into organizing the display.

There were small bears all along
The bottom shelf,

Medium-sized bears covering the
Length of the middle shelf,

And huge, enormous bears running
All the way along the top shelf.

She found it strange for an
Obviously masculine guy

To have such a large collection of
Teddy Bears,

She is quite impressed by his
Sensitive side.

But doesn't mention this to him.

They share a bottle of wine and
Continue talking and,

After awhile, she finds herself
Thinking,

'Oh my God! Maybe, this guy
Could be the one!

Maybe he could be the future
Father of my children?'

She turns to him and kisses him
Lightly on the lips

He responds warmly.

They continue to kiss, the passion builds,

And he romantically lifts her in
His arms and carries her into his bedroom

Where they rip off each other's
Clothes and make hot, steamy love.

She is so overwhelmed that she
Responds with more passion,

More creativity, more heat than she
Has ever known.

After an intense, explosive night
Of raw passion with this sensitive guy,

They are lying there together in
The afterglow.
The woman rolls over, gently
Strokes his chest and asks coyly,

'Well, how was it?'

The guy gently smiles at her,

Strokes her cheek,
Looks deeply into her eyes,

And says:

'Help yourself to any prize from the middle shelf'

MS Money

I downloaded MS money today, installed it, and started to put in my finances. What a program... no matter what I want to do, in wants to help me- like an annoying child in the way during Christmas dinner preparations. All I wanted was a way to track my account and it wanted to know everything about my life. I did not want to track my credit card and secondary account. I did not want to have it accessible from any Internet connection using hotmail. I did not want it to prepare my taxes.

Soon I realized that I am better off just using excel... or even better than that; just looking at my bank statements. I uninstalled it within 30 mins of fighting it for every entry.
